For Katerina, navigating Finland’s linguistic landscape in a professional capacity felt like a leap in the dark.
Kat, with over a decade of teaching English as a foreign language, saw an opportunity to reinvent language learning. Drawing on her and Fari’s experiences, they conceptualized Greyland Games. The idea crystallized during their participation in the EdTech Incubator in Helsinki (2023), a program that was instrumental in refining their vision. With the tools and feedback gained there, Kat and Fari moved forward with a prototype that marries engaging gameplay with practical learning in a hospital setting.
